Canceled Shows: Reality versus my DVR

We're now little more than a month into the new television season, and there have already been casualties.  After two airings both Lone Star and My Generation were axed from their respective time slots and relegated to...wait, I don't care even a little bit, because neither of them looked even vaguely interesting.

This entry is more about the shows that have already been canceled from my DVR schedule, due to less than underwhelming showings in the first two weeks.  The First casualty is S$%^ My Dad Says.  Based on the critically successful book and blog, even the "comic" stylings of William Shatner and MadTV alums Nicole Sullivan and Will Sasso can't stop this bleep-storm.  It is patently unfunny, and the relationships are awful.  Shatner is awful as the vest-wearing, gun-toting, curmudgeon.  He obviously loves his garden and his surly nature much more than his family, and it's apparent that he wasn't so much concerned about continuing the Emmy streak from his turn on Boston Legal.  This show has been banished from my DVR, and should be off TV anytime now.  It's AWFUL!

I'm on the fence so far with Outsourced, having only seen the 2nd episode, so we'll give it another week or two before I cast it out of DVR heaven.

So far, everything else is holding strong, but I have precious little time to actually catch up these days, so I have yet to watch No Ordinary Family, Running Wilde, or The Event yet, so we'll see...

A New Start

Ok, so I know the name is a little cheesy, but I wanted to start a new chapter in my blogging resume.  As anyone who reads my other blog can attest to, I'm mainly known for blogging on politics, and my frustrations that come with my inability to live oblivious to idiots in that arena.  This blog will be, as labeled, my review blog.  I will use this space to review television, books, movies, comics, video games, and perhaps other media as well.

So here we go...enjoy!
